Many Christians disregarded Mother Mary making excuse like, "It's written in the Bible that no one can come to the Father except through Jesus." There is no question about this but as believers, we must look at Mother Mary w/ reverence gratitude. Disregarding her means disregarding the Father who chose her to be the Mother of Jesus who conceived Him for 9 months, endured the death threat while in the process of nursing the Baby Jesus, faced strongly the most painful barbaric execution of her Son whom she loved most. Jesus suffered so much because of the multiple wounds & humiliation that He had gone through. But we could not measure how painful it was for a Mother watching her own Son being reviled, flogged, spatted, humiliated, persecuted, nailed, & crucified.
Mother Mary could have fought by asking help from God because of her heart w/c is close to the Father but she never did it out of obedience to what she has promised. (Luke 1:38 Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed her.
The Blessed Mother is the role model of true faith whose obedience did not falter from the time she made her commitment up to the time of the most painful process she endured through immeasurable tears, trauma, fear, emotional pain w/c she able to conquer through faith & obedience to the living God.
Sisters & brothers, if God have high regard to the Blessed Mother which made Him to chose her to conceive the Messiah, why can't we look at her w/ reverence & gratitude? The Blessed Mother had been the instrument of our second chance, because through her, the Redeemer had been conceived through her, the salvation was made perfect inclusive of her.
Indeed, the Virgin Mother is the role model of all mothers, in love, faith & hope who could sacrifice & endure many persecutions, afflictions, for the good of others. The Blessed Mother is the mother who conceived our Savior, who was used by the Father to perfect His plan of redemption. God trusted her. God believed her. God respected her. God choose her. The Blessed Mother is our mother. She is everyone's mother.
Luke 1:46-55
And Mary said, "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For He has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me & holy is His name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear Him. He has shown might w/ His arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind & heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry He has filled w. good things; the rich He has sent away empty. He has helped Israel His servant, remembering His mercy, according to His promise to our fathers, to Abraham & to His descendants forever.
