Sunlight Rich Source of Vitamin D

World Health Organization (WHO) reports that cardiovascular diseases killed 17.5 million people in 2012, that is 3 in every 10 deaths. Of these, 7.4 million people died of ischemic heart disease and 6.7 million from stroke.

Tobacco use is the culprit of the world’s top killer diseases – including cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive lung disease and lung cancer. This is responsible for the death of about 1 in 10 adults worldwide. Smoking is often the hidden cause of the disease accounted as responsible for death.

So, instead of smoking with friends, why not make some change by enjoying the sunlight outside of the office during noon break,   of course it easier said than done for non-smokers, but I'm sure that everybody would be amenable that no single mother delivered a baby with a single stick of cigarette on their hands, which means that everything can be restored to its natural state.

1 Corinthians 3:16  Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Proverbs 3:7-8  Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and turn away from evil; This will mean health for your flesh and vigor for your bones....The medical findings of the experts who are God's instruments tells us to leave from the evil caused by tobacco.

Proverbs 17:22  A joyful heart is the health of the body, but a depressed spirit dries up the bones.....No one can be joyful when the money that is supposed to be used for basic needs at home is used on medical maintenance.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, to my words be attentive, to my sayings incline your ear; Let them not slip out of your sight, keep them within your heart; For they are life to those who find them, to man's whole being they are health. Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and turn away from evil; This will mean health for your flesh and vigor for your bones.

By evil, it does not only mean of immoral conduct but any choice which we are aware as destructive that we are continuously doing.

Presented below are the 10 benefits of obtaining a reasonable amount of sun exposure:

1. Sunlight is rich in vitamin D. Modest sunscreen-free exposure to sunlight for 20 to 30 minutes a few times a week helps the body produce the vitamin D it needs that is significant for good health, cancer prevention,  improved sports performance and weight loss.

Accordingly, exposure to it helps an instant endorphin surge and drop in blood pressure, regulation of hunger hormones that may help one keep weight off, and key vitamin D synthesis that alters the expression of 291 genes responsible for everything from controlling how swiftly one’s bones age to how fast one bounces back from tough workouts to how fertile he/she is.

Vitamin D, deficiency puts one’s bones at risk," says Dr. John Swarzberg editor of a new 50-page report on vitamin D by the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health.

Men can start losing bone mass at 30, but preserving vitamin D levels may reduce that decline, preventing fractures later in life and fending off the muscle pain and weakness that naturally come with soft bones. "

Vitamin D reinforces fast-twitch muscles, quells swelling, and prevents respiratory infections. That is why teams such as the Chicago Balackhaw started testing players' levels. Enette Larson-Meyer, associate professor and vitamin D researcher at the University of Wyoming says that Lack of vitamin D can compromise athletic performance, so that an athlete needs to get some sunlight the week before a fit event.

A recent study discloses that vitamin D–deficient rats were 73 percent less likely to impregnate their mates, and in human studies on countries with long, dark winters, researcher discovers that conception rates are higher in summer months, when people are outside and synthesize more sun.

2. Sunlight and complete meal thrust breast cancer into diminution. The American physician Dr. Zane Kime used sunbathing and nutrition to treat his patients. Even in terminal cases, Dr. Kime was able to utterly reverse the metastasized cancer.

3. It kills bad bacteria. The German soldiers after WWI knew of the discoveries that had been made in 1903 by the Nobel Prize winner, Niels Finsen. They used sunlight to sanitize and cure wounds.

4. It has a beneficial effect on skin disorders, such as psoriasis, acne, eczema and fungal infections;

5. It lowers cholesterol. The sun converts high blood cholesterol into steroid hormones and the sex hormones which is needed for reproduction. It is the other way around in the absence of  sunlight, wherein the substances are converted into cholesterol.

6. It lower blood pressure. A single exposure considerably lowers high blood pressure. On the other hand, pharmaceutical drugs such as Statins have side effects, such as robbing the body of Coenzyme Q10. CoQ10 is vital for cellular and heart energy.

7. It penetrates deep into the skin to purify the blood and blood vessels. Medical literature published in Europe exhibited that people with atherosclerosis (hardened arteries) get better with sun exposure.

8. It increases oxygen content in human blood. Likewise, it enhances the body's capacity to deliver oxygen to the tissues which is very comparable to the effects of exercise. It has a great effect on stamina, fitness and muscular development.

9. It builds the immune system. The white blood cells, which amplify with sun exposure, are called lymphocytes, and these play the most important role in shielding the body against infections.

10. Regular exposure to sunlight increases the growth and height of children, especially babies. Many cultures in the entire history have accepted this fact. Studies have affirmed that the amount of sun exposure in the first few months has an effect to the height development of an individual.

11. It cures depression. The noon sunshine can give 100,000 lux. Sitting inside the office under neon and artificial lights could only offer 150-600 lux which means of deprivation of the nature’s illumination.  Deficiency in sunlight can cause a form of depression called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). It is more common in cold months, but also common to people whose are confined for long hours in inside the office.

Exposure to the sunlight should be made gradually. The skin will be more sensitive to it once you’re not used to it.  Anything that matters to us is completely enjoyed in a gradual mode so avoid sunburn through slow progress of tolerance.
