Many are the allurements of this world which defocus us on a single commitment involving our "yes." Tell anyone to get out of sexual immorality & you'll be bombarded like, "It's none of your business anymore!" Encourage a government official to divulge the truth about irregularities of a certain high rank individual & you'll just be dismayed of the deceiving fabricated statements. Call the attention of a friend who's a drunkard to stop his alcoholism & he would retaliate in arrogance like, "It's my own money that I'm squandering not yours! What's your problem?"
James 1:26-27 If anyone thinks he is religious & does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain. Religion that is pure & undefiled before God & the Father is this: To care for orphans & widows in their affliction & to keep oneself unstained by the world.
These are the usual nets that entrap our society nowadays. Some could no longer be released because they already enjoy to have been in the net of dissipation, lies, carousing, forbidden relationship. This has been for a long time because of both personal emotions &; worldly perspective that revolve & deceive the entirety of this community.
Jesus is searching us out looking for anyone who needs to be rescued from being trapped. But almost everyone is silent in the wilderness as if no one needs of His help. Everyone has already been preoccupied. Out of so much love, Jesus sent a number of messengers but as if no one wants to listen. Everyone is busy.
Matthew 13:47-50 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, w/c collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore & sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out & separate the wicked from the righteous & throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing & grinding of teeth.
Friends, if you are one of these mentioned, think of it using at least 5 minutes of your time. Ask yourself like, "Is this the kind of life that I want to be? Is this the life that God wants me to be?" Afterwards, compare the headaches against the fulfillment that you've gone through from those lifestyles. Be honest to yourself because you are the only one who could answer these personal questions. Once the amount of unhappiness outnumbers the amount of fulfillment, then there must be wrong with that lifestyle.
Sisters & brothers, Jesus challenges us to break that net which has been tricking us & straightaway leave it. But that net could only be broken if we restore our belief & YES commitment to Him. Leaving the net of falsehood is living the net of life which would carry us to a genuine happiness & real gratification. Could you still recall the times when we're innocent of the worldly pleasures? Was it not the time that were truly happy? Yes it is! Innocence on sins is to be caught inside Jesus' net, The Protector, The Savior, The Provider.....The Life.
Matthew 4:18-22 Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, & his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, "Come after me, & I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets & followed Him. He walked along from there & saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, & his brother John. They were in a boat, w/ their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, & immediately they left their boat & their father & followed Him.
