Abortion and euthanasia are at
the heart of the crisis that is beleaguering and obliterating the contemporary
human race.[1] The unborn
or the aged have obviously have the rights, and abortion and euthanasia are
serious crimes against the rights of unborn children, the aged and terminally
ill; the rights of God that are infringed by the crimes of abortion and
euthanasia in the most murderous century in human history.
Over 60 million
people were killed in World War II[2]
while the total number of military and
civilian casualties in World War I was more than 38 million.[3]
If we’ll combine the casualties on world wars versus abortion cases, the latter
is absolutely more preposterous than the former as it is continuously counting.
Sanctity
of human life and the linkage between chastity and charity to the 5th commandment
of the divine injunction
When God transfigured as human
in the person of Jesus Christ and took human flesh of His mother Mary, He presented
a discernment of human life that was simply unfamiliar or disregarded in the
pagan Roman Empire into which Jesus Christ was born. Abortion and infanticide
had been decriminalized in the Roman law in the first century of the Christian era.
[4] It was presupposed that the
aged and the terminally ill would be terminated.
Jesus created human life
naturally to a supernatural level.
Hence, it is holy and sacrosanct, the principle of a Christian, Catholic
Faith. It belongs to God and the rights of God are being encroached upon by
abortion and euthanasia. Even from the
human’s perspective of entitlement, no one who’s an owner of something can be
deprived of her/his rights, what more when it comes to God who’s the owner of
life. This reminds me of Ericka Kay's (long-time
friend on Facebook) statement when she speaks against Euthanasia: Of course I
wouldn't consider euthanasia. What I was communicating is that doctors will try
to convince people that life isn’t worth living unless you're 100 percent
healthy. It is of course
ridiculous. Doctors have tried to
convince me that I shouldn't seek medical treatment for my mom. They call it dignity of life. It's really a nice way to allow someone to
die simply because you don't have the courage or patience to take care of the
person. It's an excuse. It allows people
to not be inconvenienced with sick family members.
By saying that human life is
sacred, it is so because God has personally and individually create each human
soul at the instant of conception. The parents give the body, God individually,
uniquely, and personally create out of nothing the human spirit embedded into
the body. It is holy because it reflects
the image and likeness of God. (Genesis 1:27 h"(Genesis 1:27), it
is a partaking in the very life of God.
Not like the sun, moon, stars, the ocean,
the rivers, and the trees, humans are like God who think, and who can love. It’s
holy because humans are destined to receive a share in God’s own Trinitarian
life at baptism.
So that in obtaining baptism the Father, Son and Holy Spirit start
to dwell in the humans souls. Life is sacred because during humans’ mortal sojourn
on earth, everybody is preordained to glorify God by discerning, loving and
serving Him. The vilest facet of
abortion is that a child is blocked from serving God and. Abortion is sneaking
from God the right He has of being glorified by His rational creature.
Human life is sacred because
Christ in choosing a human mother to become man, He remains man for all
eternity. In the course of human life here on earth, everyone is privileged to adhere
to the example of Jesus Christ through emulating of His virtues. God ascended
to became a man so that as a man He might practice humility and obedience and
patience, charity and chastity. And by imitating Him in His humanity, everyone might
become like God progressively.
Causes
of Abortion
People commit abortion to avoid
inconvenience, suffering, and pain. God emptied Himself so to speak to become
man. Like Jesus, humans have the privilege of embracing the cross, and by
loving the cross, humans are loving the God who became man and died on the
cross out of love for humans. Through partaking in the passion of Jesus Christ,
through uniting everyone’s suffering with His, humans turn to be the “knight in shining armor as redeemers.”
Life is holy because during
humans stay on earth, all are meant to be nourished on the living flesh and blood of
the Son of God through communion communion. The offense of abortion averts a child from receiving Jesus into His own
human body, receiving the Blood of Jesus into His own human blood.
Life is holy because, although
humans are conceived and born in time, humans shall never die. Physical bodies
die and rot; humans are destined to live for all eternity. Humans’ expiration is
not mortal but heavenly, not fleeting but eternal - to be united with the
divine community of Holy Trinity.
Thus, prevention of this life
from being born by the intentional killing of abortion, or to curtail this life
by one minute through the murder of euthanasia is a crime crying to heaven for
vengeance (Job 34:28). So the Philippine National Police (PNP) headed
by chief, Director General Ronald dela Rosa (who may be accountable for the 1,365
drug-related fatalities reported from July 1 to Sept. 6[5]
if it’s caused by extra judicial killing or members of the police involved on
drug who wish to conceal their misdemeanor or may not be accountable if their fights
against drug-problem is unflawed) must take this God’s word at heart should his leadership take
every action freed from divine culpability.
The sanctity of human life
belongs to God but neither to the president of any country nor the law
enforcement agencies.
The
relationship of 6th and 9th Commandment to the 5th
The 6th commandment prohibits
the use of one’s body for sexual pleasure outside of the sanctity of marriage.
The 9th commandment prohibits even the indulgence of internal thoughts,
desires and emotions either consciously aroused or consciously enjoyed outside
of the sanctity of marriage. The history of the human race shows that there is
an unavoidable connection between the loyal adherence of the sixth and ninth
commandments and the fifth - Thou shall not kill .
Preserving the values on
chastity is respecting human life. When God became man, He made ensured to be
conceived by a virgin mother. In the course of His perceptible stay on earth,
Jesus existed in an unblemished, chaste life, exalting the chastity of the
decalogue to transcendent heights never common in the history of man, to indemnify
that the fifth commandment would not only be the devotion of the law of justice by not plucking innocent human life, but might become the commandment of the
new law, the mandate of altruistic and even gallant charity. Humans will be
only as selfless as they are chaste.
Logically, massive bloodshed of
the innocents (the latest official figure of 60 million abortions yearly and globally)
in both the developed and developing countries stem from a culture who turned
to be a fornicating society, an adulterous society, a masturbating society, a
homosexual society, and a contraceptive society. Unchaste individuals are
self-centered, who will not end up in abortion if a child is treasured as a gift
of love than a burden to their indulgence and sexual pleasure.
There’s a young Polish Jesuit
who survived five years in the Nazi concentration camp of Dachau, whose job was to wheel the not-so-dead bodies from the gas chambers to be heaved
into the furnace. At once, when the inmates couldn’t sleep brought by
starvation and restless nights, they conversed to one another, wondering how was it possible for these fellows,
men and women guards who were murdering tens of thousands of people, to become
so stiffened in their ruthlessness. The Jesuit realized that every single one
of them was a sexual pervert.
Thus, restoring the modern
world to soundness for the preservation of sacred human life, entails a life that
is lived in a heroic chastity, by becoming channels of grace to people whose
crime of murder is a consequence of indulging in illicit sexual pleasure and
their unwillingness to control their passions.
