Bearer of Light

" He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony, he who receives his testimony set his seal to this; that God is true." (John 3:31-36)

Today, we celebrate the 112th Philippine Labor Day.  Although the agricultural sector is still on its ire brought by the issue on land distribution, as I encountered them on a protest in front of the Department of Agriculture two weeks ago (aside from the alleged multi-million fund scam along with the other lawmakers who are in a hotseat because of the same issue), the country should be grateful because it has been doing well. This manifests that the president himself bears witness to what God desires for the people, as the Scripture says,  "Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that move on the earth." (Genesis 1:28)

As it's written, Jesus encourages a conscientious labor practice when it says, "You shall not defraud a poor and needy hired servant, whether he be one of your own countrymen or one of the aliens who live in your communities. You shall pay him each day's wages before sundown on the day itself, since he is poor and looks forward to them. Otherwise he will cry to the Lord against you, and you will be held guilty." (Deuteronomy 24:14-15)

Reselience of nation's economy is dependent on the hands of a good ledership.  As agricultural country, everyone may survive without a competent president because by farming alone can be a soucre of it. However, if we would like to optimize what the world could offer like the mezmerizing provision of science, cultural, financial, political and technlogical exchange, ingenuity of the president is the key factor.

It's been good that despite the sagging global economy, the Philippines continues its maximization of economic dependability.  In fact, we should be grateful because the 1.8 million Filipino Overseas Workers (OFW) who could eventually be instruments of propagation of the Divine Mercy, along with the Call Centers, because these are the significant groups whose services in different parts of the world are relevant to boosting of the economy. OFW's generates a remittance of $22.76 in 2013.

So that when we bump into these people who are working as household helpers and laborers abroad, everyone should be hats off than downgrading them because this group is the second highest in terms of remittances.  The highest the country's export of product and services than import, the higher the opportunity with a ripple effect to the country and its people towards a tranquil, content and beautiful life.
