Am I Like A Pharisee?

Today’s generation, people are very showbiz. We get not from what they say but from what they think.

Now that the election is fast approaching, we'll hear the same false hope like "I will uphold the dignity of the poor people." "I will uplift the Philippine economy." Do we have a choice? Yes, we have no choice but to listen to their empty promises but we have the choice not to imitate their false words.

Matthew 23:1-4 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds & to His disciples, saying, "The scribes & the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do & observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example for they preach but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burden hard to carry & lay them on people's shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them.

In other instances, the people when invited in a spiritual activity, others would reply, “There's no heaven in Prayer Meeting, heaven is in womanizing & drinking!" Others would respond, "Join us here instead, forbidden is pleasurable than Prayer Meeting!"

Matthew 23:13-14 Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, you hypocrites. You lock the kingdom of heaven before human beings. You do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow entrance to those trying to enter.
Instead of defending the truth, we give approval to homosexuality, same sex marriage, sex transplant, adultery by saying, "It's okey. It's already accepted by the society."

Mark 7:8-9 "You disregard God's commandment but cling to human tradition." He went on to say, "How well you have set aside the commandment of God in order to uphold your tradition.

In our government, many leaders have paraded their achievements on TV, engraved their names on every projects scattered all over the place but until now the country is still on its worse condition in terms of economy, justice, employment, corruption, immorality, communism. Many pretenses could be found in their externalities.

Matthew 23:27-28 Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, you hypocrites. You are like whitewash tombs, w/c appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones & every kind of filth. Even so, on the outside you appear & righteous, but inside you are filled w/ hypocrisy & evildoing.
