Hear & Do

Strange! Did it come into your senses why we humans learn so fast when it comes to sinning, when in fact doing a sin is much complicated than doing good?

For example, what is easier, to stay in the house with the family and watch TV, or to stay outside with friends spending your money on liquor with the GRO on the side where health and security are compromised because any moment at that instance could possibly have a rumble?

Of course I would be accused as an anti-social if I'll oppose nightlife as this is really part of man's life but be reminded that the recommended level for safe alcohol consumption (a standard beer or a standard glass of wine) is:

• 2 drinks per day for adult men.
• 1 drink per day for adult women.
• 1 drink per day for aged over 65.
• Below 18 should avoid alcohol completely.
• Anyone with a problem of controlling intake should avoid drinking completely.

Beyond this limit exposes one to alcohol poisoning which is a potentially life threatening event, develops alcoholism which eventually destroys one's life, stages of alcoholic liver disease, damages mental health which can lead to symptoms of depression and worsen current predicament, commission of suicide as intoxication causes impulse which interferes sound judgment.

Intoxication causes others to be verbally and physically abusive, unproductive at work on the  following day, prone to accidents, drain savings, exposure to drugs, licentious sexual conduct  which causes unplanned pregnancies or sexually transmitted disease, exposure to crime.

What is easier, to have a quality time with the siblings and friends in the Prayer Meeting where you could only spend about 2 hours of your effort, or to spend half day of your time with friends for drinking or drug session where health and future are at stake?

Which is easier, to harbor grudge against neighbor which compromises health, gives headache, defocuses plans, lessens productivity, or ignore the disgust and focus on something better? Anger impacts the heart's electrical system in very specific ways that can lead to sudden death.  In the United States, sudden cardiac death accounts for more than 400,000 deaths annually, according to the American College of Cardiology.

Which is easier, to give your 10K bucks in a charity where you could only spend an hour or two driving going to the charitable institution, or lost it to casino where you could risk your property to be squandered and spend the whole restless night?

Which is easier, to gain a fraudulent wealth by sneaking on the government taxes where you connive with many people to fabricate lies, falsify documents; where people almost spit on your face because of resentment, or worst enough be jailed if you're proven guilty; or be conscientious with your commitment and be loved by the people? Previously we had 2 presidents incarcerated because of corruption cases and recently we had three (3) senators jailed for the same offense.

Which is easier, to rebel against the government by staying in the mountains as terrorists with a miserable life and security; or to be with the family serving them happily?

Which is easier, to budget a billion-dollar fund for war wherein the society vomits every leadership out because of excessive bitterness and anger caused by untimely death of their loved ones and shattered dreams, or be reconciled with the opponent and be submissive to the rule of law to strengthen bilateral relationship and exchange of ingenuity that would benefit both countries?

Which is easier, to cheat during the examinations where you are not relaxed the whole hour because of finding a seatmate whom you could copy the right answer and be embarrassed when caught by you teacher/professor and be failed which wastes you parents investment for your education; or spend a night on studying your lessons to be stress-free the following morning for the exam and fulfil your parents sweat and tears just to support your education?

Yes human hears and does after hearing but it is the world that human is paying attention to instead of God.  From home to church, down to the schools and up to the corporate world, God’s values are regularly talked and taught. Human could hear but pretends to be deaf when the WORD is preached. Humans are fast learners and do what it learned but it is the complicated words of the world that it does rather the simplest works of the WORD.

We‘ve been thinking for long a time now that to be holy is difficult. On the contrary, it's the other way around. If we'll try to think it again and again, the truth is we have a hard time of leaving the worldly pleasures.

However, God still waits. Jesus consistently knocks into everyone’s hearts because He believes in us, He trusts in us, He hopes in us. Amen!

Romans 2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are just in the sight of God; rather, those who observed the law will be justified.

Matthew 7:26-27 And everyone who listens to these WORDS of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell. the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed & was completely ruined.

John 12:48 Whoever rejects me and does not accept my WORDS has something to judge him: the WORD that I spoken, it will condemn him on the last day.
