Our society of today is so much busy that we could not divide the 24-hours conscientiously. Being busy is not bad at all. But to be busy on something worthless is questionable.
24-hours is meant not only for the family, work, boyfriend or girlfriend, diversion, schooling, relatives, friends but most especially for the ONE who is the giver of the 24-hours, the God-the Father Himself.
How much time do we spend on texting & replying text messages w/c just waste our money & effort. We can throw away 300 bucks of load in a month but we cannot drop the same amount in the offertory box during the Liturgy.
Many of us can spend more than four hours in a bar w/ friends & colleagues but we could hardly focus or even spend time on attending the Mass.
We could consume 1-3 hours of our time going to the office & spend another 8 hours for work but we could impatiently go to attend the 2-hour Prayer Meeting.
Gentlemen can spend an hour even the whole day to court a girl but to pay attention to the 1-hour mass is a mess.
Ladies can spend an hour on putting make up daily but could never devote time on spirituality.
The 24-hours that shall have been given to us luxuriously is not exclusively ours. God never deprive us on anything that's why He gives us 24-hours for a balance time management for the family, work, relationship, friends, relatives, church, commitment & pastime.
The reason why we could hardly cope up during personal crisis is because we lack of spirituality because we have no time for Prayer Meeting, fellowship, Liturgy where values on love, faith, hope, endurance, patience, perseverance as strength coming from the Divine Power are being absorbed. We can do nothing w/o these virtues. We can do nothing being apart from God.
By this time, I'm sure everyone have lots of passions that make you busy w/c deafens you while God exhaustingly calls you. We can't hear Him if we're preoccupied by our busyness. Can you stop for a while & look up?.......God is in there calling you…....inviting…....Please reply!
Matthew 22:1-14 Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parable saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time He sent other servants saying, "Tell those invited: Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves & fattened cattle are killed, & everything is ready. Come to the feast." Some ignored the invitation & went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, & killed them. The king was enraged & sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, & burned their city. Then He said to His servants, "The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads & invite to the feast whomever you find. The servants went out into the streets & gathered all they found bad & good alike, & the hall was filled w/ guests. But when the King came in to meet the guests He saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, "My friend, how is it that you came in here w/o a wedding garment?" But he was reduced to silence. Then the King said to his attendants, "Bind his hands & feet, & cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing & grinding of teeth." Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
