Preaching, The Warning Voice

Aside from we have no right to blame God on whatsoever, we can't complain to Him either. Why? Because neither He forsake nor forget us. How? Can you count how many preachers are there in the wilderness as you happen to encounter them while you're forth & fro to your home & office? My goodness! Preachers are left & right nowadays in public transports, public places, there they are proclaiming the same message about repentance & conversion.

But how do we reply when God summons us through these preachers? When Catholic preaches, everyone has his own creative excuse. This religion proclaims the Word, everyone would say, “Are you out of your mind!" That religion shouts the Good News, everyone would murmur, “He’s a devil’s advocate." Other sects speak about liberation but people would say, "You are crazy!" Aside from these, other denominations are there who could readily evangelize about the Kingdom of God but many would say, "I have no time for that, it's a waste of time!"

This we unnoticeably disregarded that these preachers whom we rejected & revile are God's messengers as the warning voice who direct our journey, who help us to appreciate life despite of the imperfection to remain loyal in the middle of many disturbing situations, to believe in oneself in the presence of rejection, to be concerned about others in spite of scarcity. But we missed the point because of our reluctance.

Preaching is God's warning voice that we should listen to hastily & exhaustingly. Preaching is the Word of God. The Word of God is our life & hope. Resistance of the preaching is the resistance of knowledge. Resistance of knowledge is ignorance. Ignorance of the Word of God is ignorance of the opportunities on earth & in heaven.

Ephesians 4:17-19 So declare and testify in the Lord that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds; darkened in understanding, alienated from the life of God because of their ignorance, because of their hardness of heart, they have become callous and have handed themselves over to licentiousness for the practice of every kind of impurity to excess.

Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Amos 8:11-12 Yes days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send famine upon the land; not a famine of bread or thirst for water but for hearing the Word of the Lord. Then shall they wander from sea to sea and rove from the north to the east in search of the Word of the Lord but they shall not find it.

2 Peter 5:3-7 His divine power has bestowed on us everything that makes for life and devotion, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and power. Through these, He has bestowed on the precious and very great promises, so that through them you may come to share in the divine nature, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge, knowledge w/ self control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, devotion with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
