Freedom for Thirst

One electrifying Sunday morning, the father who's working in the Middle East made a long distance call to his family. It was his youngest son who answered the phone. As they were conversing intimately, the son disclosed of something he thought as a normal circumstance that’s not out of bounds. "Dad, we have a new baby!", the youngest son said. "Whose baby is that?” he interrogated. "Mommy has just given birth" he replied. The father was taken aback because of the despicable news. He was surprised by the infidelity of his wife. Only one week more & he would finish his 2-year contract but all of his ambitions had seemingly shifted to be directionless because of this betrayal

Matthew 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.

Proverbs 6:32-35 But he who commits adultery is a fool; he who would destroy himself does it. A degrading beating will he get, and his disgrace will not be wiped away; For vindictive is the husband's wrath, he will have no pity on the day of vengeance; He will not consider any restitution, nor be satisfied with the greatest gifts.

Mark 10:11 He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her;

Hosea 2:7 So now I will lay bare her shame before the eyes of her lovers, and no one can deliver her out of my hand.

1 Corinthians  6:9-10 Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor practicing homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 8:6-8 The concern of the flesh is death, but the concern of the spirit is life and peace. For the concern of the flesh is hostility toward God; it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

By coming into the picture, it could be conclusive that the husband was prayerful of the Divine provision which is evident to the turn of event. Normally it is one's instinct to seek God while in the process of desiring for something, As he sought for the potential entry to the possible fulfillment of his ambition, he found it at last. The agency which was destined to answer his prayer, opened the door for him & gave the opportunity he prayed.

Philippians 4:6-7 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

As husband and wife , there should be a team effort of prayers. But in this case, the wife fails to do her share. While the husband was offshore, freedom for thirst deceived her mind which obsessed and blinded her.

Matthew 5:27-28 You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:32 But I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

In general, this is basically human's weakpoint. Freedom for thirst is utilized to maximize choice in the way that pleases the mind and flesh disconnecting our hearts to the people who love us and detaching our soul to the Holy Spirit who loves us more than anyone else, who oversees & defends us in our battles, in our aspirations.

In the hardness of our hearts and on the call to reform, the Scripture says:

Proverbs 1:28-33 "Then they call me, but I answer not; they seek me, but find me not; Because they hated knowledge, and chose not the fear of the LORD; They ignored my counsel, they spurned all my reproof; And in their arrogance they preferred arrogance, and like fools they hated knowledge: "Now they must eat the fruit of their own way, and with their own devices be glutted. For the self-will of the simple kills them, the smugness of fools destroys them. But he who obeys me dwells in security, in peace, without fear of harm."

2 Corinthian 6:1-2 Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says: "In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you." Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Our loved ones may have been praying for us that we may enjoy our freedom without compromises which is sometimes impossible to happen because of interconnectivity problem when our heart is disengaged to the good petitions of our loved ones and our soul is detached to the purifying will of the Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:14-17 And we have this confidence in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in regard to whatever we ask, we know that what we have asked him for is ours. If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly, he should pray to God and he will give him life. This is only for those whose sin is not deadly. There is such a thing as deadly sin, about which I do not say that you should pray. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not deadly.

Matthew 18:19 Again, (amen,) I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.

Matthew 7:7-12 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asks for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him. "Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.

Prayers that are granted should be treasured w/ equal participation of the heart, flesh, mind and soul but should not be the reason to have one of these faculties to be taken for granted. Answered petitions through material providence should not be an excuse to be abusive in our freedom for thirst to be engaged in sexual infidelity, deception and lies but to be proportionate in our actions without compromising the purity of our heart, flesh, mind and soul.

When praying, basically it's the same composition that are connected as we entreat God. Similarly, when it comes to planning, decision-making and acting it out, the same properties should be in equal participation. Therefore our actions are the reflection of our prayers because both are embodied with the same faculties w/o leaving one of them behind. Any faculty that is unattended could cause trouble, disappointment, division w/c result the answered prayer to be worthless in the end.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 "Therefore, take these words of mine into your heart and soul. Bind them at your wrist as a sign, and let them be a pendant on your forehead. Teach them to your children, speaking of them at home and abroad, whether you are busy or at rest. And write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates, so that, as long as the heavens are above the earth, you and your children may live on in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers he would give them.

1 Chronicle 28:9-10 "As for you, Solomon, my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing soul, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the mind's thoughts. If you seek him, he will let himself be found by you; but if you abandon him, he will cast you off forever.

Ephesians 4:17-18 So I declare and testify in the Lord that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds; darkened in understanding, alienated from the life of God because of their ignorance, because of their hardness of heart.

1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I urge you as aliens and sojourners to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against the soul.

An answered prayer should be sustained w/ the freedom for thirst on God's word through incessant obedience, in heart, mind, flesh and soul as our timeless commitment to the golden rule “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
