Recently, I was shocked by this article paraded by another detractor of the Catholic Church who circulated an article concerning Pope Francis whom they bombarded as the most-hated personality in the world’s religions. Try to take a look on this post of the detractor:
This confused me as a Catholic devotee which turned my trust
against the Roman Catholic Leaders to be shilly-shallied as a whole, for a
moment. Could you imagine, after Pope Benedict who has been rumored by both the theists and atheists on sexuality and
crime issues, when in fact he resigned because of his health condition, here’s again another controversy trumpeted by these hecklers.
I
found the article very disturbing which brought me to question the credibility
of the church for the second time. The first time happened when there was
this different religion who indoctrinated me about the images as a form of
idolatry, where I was easily convinced because I was neither a practicing
Catholic nor a reader of Catholic catechism. In fact, I could be rarely found in
the church during my vulnerable stage as grown-up.
To resolve this confusion, e-mailing the
creator of this article was the first option. Kindly check the conversation
below:
For
me to come up with fair and balanced conclusion, I researched for 2 days to
look for possible sources that would disprove the ridiculous write-ups.
Lo and behold, I found out that the maker of this International Tribunal
into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) was formerly connected with The United
Church of Canada who was removed as an
ordained minister of the church .
This group whose demolition job of both his former religion and
Catholicism has been in existence for long years which involves investment of
time, money, effort and emotions not of course for nothing.
Whatever their intentions may be whether it is financial, power, fame or
personal gain, may they be enlightened one day that they have been committing a
grave offense against God and the people, as the Scripture says:
Leviticus
19:11 You shall not steal. You shall not lie or speak falsely
to one another.
This group has not only been speaking falsely against these personalities but
also been robbing of their reputation as a person and as authorities.
Leviticus
19: 12 You shall not swear falsely by my name,
thus profaning the name of your God. I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:13 You shall not
defraud or rob your neighbor. You shall not withhold overnight the wages of your
day laborer.
Because of their fraud, they’re taking not only the harmony of Catholicism and
respect to the Catholic church but also the tranquility and decency of the
Popes.
Leviticus 19:15 You
shall act dishonestly in rendering judgement. Show neither partiality to
the weak nor deference to the mighty, but judge your fellow men justly.
Brought by their unmerited gestures, they can be equaled and as ridiculous as
these corrupt politicians because they are both a threat on the orderly
society.
Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go about
spreading slander among your kinsmen; nor shall you stand by idly when your
neighbor's life is at stake. I am the LORD.
The output of the multimedia is a sheer viral which reaches up to the remotest
area of the earth. Could you imagine how much pain do they multiply which
has been endured by these personalities they have been offending.
Leviticus 19:17 You shall not
bear hatred for your brother in your heart. Though you may have to reprove your
fellow man, do not incur sin because of him.
If he had been terminated from his post as a minister, this should supposed to
be his turning point to revisit his past and reconcile what has been lost in
the present. Ironically, he never learned a lesson from his imperfections but
becomes even overly outrageous.
Leviticus 19:18 Take no revenge and
cherish no grudge against your fellow countrymen. You shall love your
neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
With his nonsensical activities, it is evident that he has been harboring a
grudge against a fair judgment of his former congregation which is devastating
not only for himself (his health and relationship with God and the people) but
for his loved ones who have no other desires but contentment, serenity and
love.
Let us be reminded that becoming a member of the Church, the
person baptized belongs no longer to himself, but to him who died and rose for
us. From now on, He is called to be subject to others, to serve them in
the communion of the Church, and to "obey and submit" to the Church's
leaders, holding them in respect and affection. Just as Baptism is the source of responsibilities and duties, the
baptized person also enjoys rights within the Church: to receive the
sacraments, to be nourished with the Word of God and to be sustained by the
other spiritual helps of the Church (1 Corinthian 6:19; 2
Corinthian 5:15; Hebrew 13:17; Ephesus 5:21; 1
Corinthian 16:15-16; 1
Thessalonians 5:12-13; John 13:12-15).[1]
Respect for the reputation of persons
forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury. He
becomes guilty ( Sirach 21:28):
- of rash judgment who, even tacitly,
assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor;
- of detraction who, without
objectively valid reason, discloses another's faults and failings to persons
who did not know them;
- of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the
truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments
concerning them.[2]
Respect for the reputation and honor of persons
forbids all detraction and calumny in word or attitude.[3]
Scandal is an attitude or behavior which leads
another to do evil. The person who gives scandal becomes his neighbor's
tempter. He damages virtue and integrity; he may even draw his brother into
spiritual death. Scandal is a grave offense if by deed or omission another is
deliberately led into a grave offense.
Scandal takes on a
particular gravity by reason of the authority of those who cause it or the
weakness of those who are scandalized. It prompted our Lord to utter this
curse: "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin,
it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck
and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."86 Scandal is
grave when given by those who by nature or office are obliged to teach and
educate others. Jesus reproaches the scribes and Pharisees on this account: he
likens them to wolves in sheep's clothing.
Scandal can be provoked by laws or institutions,
by fashion or opinion (Matthew 18:6; 1 Corinthian 8:10-13;
Matthew 7:15).[4]
This article has been created not to judge
the offenders as everybody around the world has his/her version
of imperfections in the past and in the present, but to reach them out
hoping for the best transition than the least,
praying for transcendence than moving backward, articulating
good stewardship of skills and talents than buckling
of legitimacy.
It is my personal prayers for his group and all
the people who are accessible to multimedia to take every opportunity on sharing
and posting of news and articles in accordance with what is truthful,
educational, harmonious, and charitable. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
