■ We left at Bacoor, Cavite at 4:30AM and we arrived at Binagbag, Angat, Bulacan at about 8AM.
Although personally, I had no budget to go there, I highly appreciated the efforts.and coordination made by my younger brother Marvin about our FREE TRAVEL to BINAGBAG, Bulacan, without single cent expense.
■ Priest's Homily at Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church at Binagbag, Angat.
There is cessation of life. It's just like organisms that died.
Not everything that has life
has an end.
But that's not the PERSPECTIVE.
LIFE is a JOURNEY towards death; but it's not the end. Thus, do the sincerest LOVE, FORGIVENESS and BEING GOOD.
It's the BEGINNING of EVERLASTING LIFE.
Ang KAMATAYAN ay pagbabalik.
After death, our SOULS continue to exist
Man's death is the ENTRANCE to the FULLNESS of POSIBILITIES.
In the end, wala tayong anumang madadala; kundi ala-alala ng MABUBUTING at MASASAMANG GAWA; by doing GOD's WILL.
■ After the Liturgy/Mass at Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church - Binagbag, Angat, Bulacan (Diocese of Malolos)
The Priest rejected the stipend offered by Nanang Leleng and Mamay Julie (I had no idea if he was the PARISH PRIEST) but declined both. Even the Parish Assistant did not receive it, according to what I heard from my Mother.
■ Marivic - Introduced me to an elderly woman who emerged as the most beautiful and rich on her looks, wearing a golden yellow color of blouse. It just that she was disapppointed when she saw that I brought the balloons at the second floor. My assumption was that it should have been released at the ground floor; which I did not, given that there was no instruction from Abelle Angeles Villarama to do this.
Thus, this elderly woman instructed me to release the balloons which I did. Apparently, my younger sister, Mylene instructed me to release these balloons one by one; but her instruction was late already, as all of the baloons were released simultaneously. While other balloons had flewn freely through air, others were trapped on the ceiling of the second floor where the entombment of 'Nay Linda Angeles Villarama and Jerico Ecleo's ashes have been made.
Whereas, the other set of ballloons were released by my younger sister, Mylene, individually and thus flew freely hitherto.
This elederly woman should not be disppointed because first and foremost, I simply voluntered but since Abelle Angeles Villarama refused to carry these balloons and given that I heard her, thus, I volunteered. I assumee that there were others who heard, as the venue had been surrounded with people.
While we (me, Mylene, Irvin, Mamay) were inside the white van, I browse the internet, so as to research on what is the issue behind releasing of these baloons and I found out that this is "punishable under the law".
Now, I know why this elderly woman reacted in that manner.
■ Grace Villarama - While with Mamay Julie and I had been conversing, Manoy Ricky entered and told that Tatay Ombeng (her Father) complained as his car overheated. Then Grace Villarama responded: I just rode his car and it overheated!
■ Manoy Ricky: He stepped out of the house regarding the item he would give to Irvin. I had no idea what was it. Then he asked Grace: Did you place your wealth inside the car?
■ Abelle's Daughter, Juliana: It emerged that as if her act was not imtentional when a cup of water spilled from her grip. Althpugjh I notice that Julianna wiped the floor by using a tissue paper, what I did upon seeing it was I asked the building assistant for a mop. But he told me to approach other. In a matter of 5 minutes, the Building Assistant went back and brought the rug, which I used to wipe the wet floor, so as to avoid a slippery floor. My mother was there whom I was looked after when she went downstairs from the second floor out of my instinct, even the entombent of Nanay Linda and Jerico ashes were not finished yet at the second floor.
In a separate occassion in the same area, after Merienda, Abelle Angeles Villarama mentioned that there should be a proof, which I assumed that this was connected with JULIE's superstitios belief that anyone who would stumbe will be the next to die. I hard this scenario when we (I, Julie and her femalr relative) had our merienda, wherin the left me even if was not finished yet with my merienda.
■ While keeping of the left over had already been made by Abelle Villarama and Ate Jojie, they gave these leftover to the funeral assistant, even if I mentioned to Nanang Leleng that if these were given to me, I would not refuse it; given that that there are a lot of people on the road who are hungry.
■ Tatay Ombeng: I heard him shouting brought by his car which overheated.
■ Nanang Leleng: While at the door at the second floor of their house, upon seeing that Mamay approached Nanang Leleng to tell her that we were already leaving, I also stepped up to ask for a blessing from Nanang Leleng before leaving the area.
Upon reasearch while inside the Van hired and paid by my younger brother (Marvin - 7 out of 9 siblings), I discovered that every step of the stairs while going up may had the conotation that pertains to supertsitition, identified as ORO, PLATA, MATA.
■ STICKY RICE CAKE - while were at the house of Manoy Ricky, we were offered with a sticky rice cake, which can be linked to the superstitious belief unacceptable in Korea.
Ate Jojie, Abelle, Grace, and Manoy Ricky went to a separate place right after the entombent of Nanay Linda and Jerico Ashes; whereas we (I, Mylene, Mamay, Irvin and the Driver) were instructed by Ate Jojie to go directly to their house. While Marivic Angeles Villarama told us that the houseboy was there anyway.
This another act of supersutious belief that after funeral they were not suppose to go directly to their house but to other place.
■ While in a DINNER, ABELLE VILLARAMA told me to occupy the guest's dining table outside than take my lunch while sitting on the seats in front of Nay Linda Villarama's ashes.
In this dining table, with me were MARIVIC ANGELES VILLARAMA, ABELLE VILLARANA, JULLIANA, MYLENE. Aside from the meals we took from the buffet, we will served with red juice (I heard Julliana mentioned what type of juice was it; but I could not recall anymore.
However, the Waiter had dished out those who had already finished their meals.
Mylene reacted, given that she did not finish yet, but laughed. It was my assumption that that gesture was to conclude of their superstitious belief that whoever took last would be the next to die after Nay Linda Villarama.
Marivic - While taking video all of the guests, I saw Jennylyn, who was on duty at that time. That's why I reacted: I thought that she's on duty, which Marivic confirmed. She refused to talk to Ate Jie.
I responded that perhaps it was her strategy to multitask and at the same time so as to avoid misunderstanding while the people were inside the interment of Nay Linda and Jerico's ashes.
Johnny, Abelle' Husband: Instead of sitting beside me, he looked for another set. I was taken aback. But on other opportunity, he gave me a piece of banana, which I received, as I told him that it's rich in magnesium, which helps strengthen bones and alleviate arthritis symptoms!
■ While at Garden of Trinity Memorial Park, Marungko road, Angat Bulacan, in a Merienda with me, Julie, and her relative in the dining table at the left wing of the building where Nay Linda's ashes were placed.
Julie mentioned about my hospitalization. Thus, I narrated of its causes, that it had been brought by electrolyte imbalance and bactrial infection.
Subsequently, Julie's relative asked how was it rooted. I told her that the Doctors could not identify of its root cause; but assumed that it was caused by the mushrooms that I ate and contaminated water from the subdivision where we reside. I told here that the Homeowners' Association Head to file a case; which I did not entertain, given the slow justice system in the Philippines and it would spend time; money and efforts while in the process.
Then Julie's relative responded: you still have a mission; which I responded with yes, as I had been miraculously obvious; given the fact of recurrent transfer from 1st hospital up to the 5th hospital. I told her that it was on the first hospital that I was conscious, but the 2nd up to the 5th hospitals, I was aleady unconscious. I told her that the only scenario that I could remember was on the night that I was discharged from the hospital by my 2 younger brothers. Further, I told her that I could not discover that I was comatosed for almost 2 months if I did not attempt to read the hospital records, wherein I was taken aback, given that upon discharge my whole body and part of my memory had been paralyzed and blotted out for almost 2 months, if my memory serves me right.
Before leaving the dining table, Julie mentioned that whoever from the guests would stumble will be the next to die. Whereas her relative reacted that it was inappropriate to leave me while I was still eating my merienda. But still they left in favor of that superstitios belief. But then, I reacted as if I was not affected. I just told them that it's okay, as I'm open-minded anyway.
■ Mamay Julie plead to the police traffic enforcers to free the van and gave PHP100 in favor of violation on color-coding, rationalizing that she was sick while coughing. In an indifferent gesture, I reacted when .Mother prevented me e to show my comment on Facebook .. It was about about Ycel Lustico's Facebook Post (relative from our Father's side) Facebook post on encouraging the people to vote this Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election to be held on October 30, 2023. I told Mamay that as if she behaves just like a Saint but not, as I would like to emphasize based on my voice projection. I remained silent from Harrisson Plaza, Pasay until the driver stopped at the Bacoor Gasoline Station for a for a full tank, which valued to more than PHP2K. It so happened that all of us (except Irvin) had no such an amount in our wallet, given that we were aware that there was already an arrangement between the driver and my younger brother (Marvin) who promised to Mamay Julie that he would be the one to shoulder the transportation expesenses.. Caught unaware, Irvin (another younger brother) gave his ATM CARD and paid the bill. Otherwise, we had been all embarrased in this encounter. Perhaps, the driver attempted to test us, if we could provide such an amount. But fortunately, Irvin emerged not as "too late a hero" but as a "last minute hero". Personally, the amount that I had in my wallet was PHH1K and PHP400 in my coin purse at that time, as I have been unemployed.
■ Obserbations on the entombment of the ashes of Nay Angeles Linda Villarama and Jerico Ecleo after LUNCH, FUNERAL CEREMONY (through car pooling) all throughout the Santa Rita de Cascia Parish Church - Binagbag, Angat, Bulacan (Diocese of Malolos), so as to attend the LITURGY/MASS (which final word of Gratitude was taken by Grace Villarama, the one who took care of her Mother during the last days of Nay Linda at the hospital in Norway) and up to entombment of both the ashes of Nay Linda Angeles Villarama and Jerico Ecleo.
■ While before breakfast, I just remained silent and viewed the memories of Nay Linda on flat screen TV; which sound could not yet be heard until one of the male assistant turned on its sound.
Then the husband of Abelle Angeles Villarama, Johnny talked to me and asked where's Jerico Ashes? I responded: Is his ashes here also?
Then he answered his own question: Perhaps, it was removed and placed at the room; given that their is a private room being occupied by the guests who I didn't know personally because I found it inappropriate talking to the people whom I don't even know; which I understood though, given that the event had been pre-occupied obviouslyby preparation taken by Ate Jie Villarama Ecleo, Abelle Villarama, Grace Villarama and perhaps by the supports of their relatives.
After CR, I was able to talk to a Senior Citizen woman while at the buffet. I asked her: Are you the sister of Nay Linda? She responded: No! Her husband, referring to Tatang Ombeng. What I head was he respnded "No" and she is the Tatay Ombeng's Sister instead. Prrhaps brought by being pre-occupied by entertaining of their relatives/guests, I understand though if they were concentrated on these people than us: Mamay, Mylene, Irvin and the driver who had arrangement with Marvin.
I sat beside her, but I noticed that we are both an introvert. As a result of silence, I diverted my attention to watching of TV where Nanay Linda's had been viewed.
■ While going upstairs at the 2nd Floor, I noticed Julie (Ate Jojie's relative.
We had a coversation along with her female relative, I supposed. She did not introduce her to me.
■ Ate Jojie - gave perfume to Mamay; but in an arrogant manner, she said: I hope it would turn you to be more fragrant. Prior to this, while at the building where Nanay Ashes was placed, Mamay told in a conversation with the people there (Ate Jojie's relatives perhaps) that she would not to have a foul smell even when ageing. Defenitely these people who heard were disappointed; given that she was surruonded by some of the senior citizens.
However, we the siblings could not conrtol our Mother tongue as it was the same type of conversation that she told even with us at home and her peers inside the subdivision. Besides, although I have been unaware that it was inappropriate especially when during significant event like this, I need to understand her from where she's coming from, given that she only finished elementary at the island of Biri Nothern Samar, where there was no electricity, no mobile phone/laptop/desktop, no internet. The only technology that we had during that period was a transistor radio which had been daily/nightly tuned in to DZRH. In fact, every before breakfast, our Father would usually hear Joe Taruc's news broadcast, along with Deo Macalma, Florante Rosales and May Binauhan.
Whereas, peronally, at that period my favorite DZRH DRAMAS were ITO ang PALAD ko by Tiya Dely which was aired on lunch time. While my favorite "ZIMATAR" DZRH Drama would usually coincide with the PRAYER of the HOLY ROSARY, given that at that time, our Mother would regularly called our attention so as respond on praying of the HOLY ROSARY. I could only hear this when our Mother had an occassinal skip for some function as a Mother perhaps. Another favorite nightly DZRH Drama was "Gabi ng Lagim". The "engkanto", "asuwangs" and horror depicted in these dramas would usually enter on my dreams nightly.
Upon reaching our house at Bacoor, Cavite, when I got out of the white van, Irvin called my attention: Were you in pain from arthritis as I noticed you were walking with wobbly legs while at Bulacan? I responded: Yes, but I do not need to be dependent with capsules, as these could affect my kidney!
I went upstairs, to the room which was developed by my younger brother (Irvin -6th out 9) by placing a solar light on the ceiling (given by her wife which was given by her sister in Japan) and a refurbished exhaust fan (which was I bought but through Darwin's budget, unused and had been stored for years) turned into an electric fan, which was used as an exhaust fan at the kitchen; but had been able find an alternative like this than unmoved from the storeroom.
When I went downtstairs, I told: I don't need that type of hypocrisy which had been focused on by the prople would happen again! Then Mylene responded: Bitter! I did not argue anymore but went upstairs again to sleep.
■ Julie's relative said whoever be the first to dapa will be the next die.
■ Abelle Villarama - anong akala ninyo sa amin, CHEAP? I think, it was brought by a comment in a Facebook Group Chat which I could not hear properly as everyboby in the area had their conversations too.
However in a separate conversation in a LUNCH with Marivic, her daughter and Mylene, she was tongue-tied in pronouncing the word "MAMON"
Was it an indication that she was trying to think of another word that may matched and sound-like mamon, so it could emerge as expensive than cheap?
■ Abelle Villarama Daughter - Juliana emerged as an individual who did not intentionally poured out a cup of water in the floor; but it was the opposite, as instructed (based on assessment) in favor of superstious belief that anyone who would be the first person na madapa (after the funeral parade by cars, Mass, releasing of balloons in the 2nd floor of the building (name of the bldg) would be next to die
■ Grace Villarama - Priceless Mother; but unpriceless Father while at the HOUSE of Manoy Ricky
■ Tatay Ombeng while at Garden of Trinity Memorial Park, Marungko road, Angat Bulacan, interment 19 October at 1 o'clock p.m.
Narrated that his Ninang Doña Miling Capistrano Bus, at Angat, Bulacan
At once based on his narrative, his godmother negotiated with the ALAMANG/BAGOONG VENDOR (shrimp paste), but was treated indifferently; which caused her to show her millions.
Conclusion:
The fact that a Catholics do the above-mentioned, doesn’t make it legitimate Catholic practice.
All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone (Cathechism of the Catholic Chuch 2116).
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and our futures are safe with Him (Hebrews 13:8).
We don’t need any supestititious belief (psychics, horoscopes, Ouija boards, magical statues, guaranteed novenas, or any other superstition and others as mentioned above, as St. Paul said : “God’s grace is enough” (2 Corinthians 12:9
