Pope John Paul II hilarious reactions to kids!

This occurred during a candid meeting with kids, which has recently resurfaced and captured widespread attention on various online platforms.

During this lighthearted Q&A session, children caught the Pontiff off guard with direct and unpredictable questions, most notably asking him about fighting and whether he had any plans of moving the Vatican.

Rather than deflecting with stiff formality, Pope John Paul II reacted with his trademark witty humor, pure kindness, and gentle nature, making the interaction a legendary, heartwarming moment of his papacy.

Pope John Paul II visited the Philippines twice as pontiff: from February 17 to 22, 1981, and from January 12 to 16, 1995.

First Visit (1981)

✓ Dates: February 17–22, 1981.

✓ Key Event: He beatified Lorenzo Ruiz, making him the first Filipino saint/blessed to be beatified outside of Rome.

Second Visit (1995)

✓ Dates: January 12–16, 1995.

✓Key Event: He came to Manila to lead the 10th World Youth Day. His closing Mass at Quirino Grandstand / Rizal Park drew an estimated 4 to 5 million people, which was a record-breaking crowd at the time.

Primarily, the Bible has this to say about “the Greatest in the Kingdom”:

1 At that time the Disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

2 He called a child over, placed it in their midst,

3 and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me. (Matthew 18:1-5).
