In its latest news, ABS-CBN reports about a Filipino
transgender who’s a U.S. supermodel reveals his real identity that he’s
a man rather than a woman.
Just like homosexuality which is forbidden by God, any
commandment articulated in the Scripture does not provide specification or
direct attachment or clarification why these things are forbidden. However, if we’ll try to evaluate the ups and
downs of the history of mankind both the people that could be read in the bible
and outside of it, we could find out that these are the effects of humanity’s
obedience and disobedience.
Genesis 4:10 The LORD then said: "What have you done! Listen: your brother's
blood cries out to me from the soil!
In the history of different kings
in the bible, their struggle and fall had rooted from marital infidelity Sodom and Gomorrah had
been in social chaos because of homosexuality.
Genesis 19:5 "They called to Lot and said to him,Where
are the men who came to your house tonight? Bring them out to us that we may
have intimacies with them."
Jude 7 Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding
towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced
unnatural vice, 6 serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal
fire.
Genesis 18:20 Then the LORD said: "The outcry
against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great, and their sin so grave.
Whether it is transgender,
genderqueer, transexual, FTM (female to male), or MTF (male to female) as the
gay and lesbian community calls it as expression of gender differently based on the sexual anatomy they were born
with, everything would be boiled down into one; there’s an alteration of God’s

righteous person but for the lawless and unruly, the godless and sinful, the
unholy and profane, those who kill their fathers or mothers, murderers, the
unchaste, practicing homosexuals, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever
else is opposed to sound teaching.
Deuteronomy 22:5 "A woman shall not wear an article proper to a man , nor shall a man put on a woman's dress; for anyone who
does such things is an abomination to the LORD, your God.
In the community of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender
(LGBT), we could probably find people who have a successful union who are
playing as a surrogate family, but they can never be equaled with the future potential
trouble brought by transgender long-term effects not only on the personal level but
to their adopted children brought by its ripple effects. It’s like a population of men who are into multiple
marriage wherein a handful could juggle managing two or more relationships but
many of them endure a disoriented family as aftermath.
The ultimate resolution to a sexual identity is not
transgendering but by going back to the basic by re-forming our minds of our
real sexuality. Any issue can never be
resolved by another issue which is alteration of sexual anatomy. Of course it’s a problem for a male finding
out for themselves that their choices do not fit to a male which could not be genuinely
enjoyed because of missing link which is the physical faculty but resorting to
a sex change can be more a problem than a solution.
Violent reaction may flood like, “O, cmon be fair
enough. You can easily make a comment on
transformation because you’re not on their shoes. “ As much as possible, I don’t
want to be dragging my dark past anymore because I’m already facing a new phase
of my life but if this is God’s will so I could reach out to LGBT community to
enlighten , I will do it repeatedly. I’ve been in homosexuality almost half of
my life. Count your fingers to match it with
the number of times that I’ve fallen into same sex union and that would not
even meet one-fourth of it. Modesty
aside, somehow I have good looks (which I claim because at some point in my
teenage years I experienced to be screamed at by group of teens in the public and
be offered with monetary value for a night out by two corporate ladies whom I bumped into inside
the mall) so people of my gender get easily attracted – pairing with bisexuals
and homosexuals alike. I am not proud of
this dark secret but I am proud that God pulled me out from that scarlet-like
filthiness because from there I started to re-define my freedom than to be abusive of the
abundant freewill that God is giving me, than to be a stereo-type of the past
inequities, than to be like Adam & Eve whose tendency is to be blaming
people in times of distress which is an effect of a personal choice and team
effort.
Genesis 3:13 The LORD God then asked the woman,
"Why did you do such a thing?" The woman answered, "The serpent
tricked me into it, so I ate it."
2 Corinthians 1:17 So when I intended this, did I act lightly? Or do I make my plans according
to human considerations, so that with me it is "yes, yes" and
"no, no"?
Sirach 15:14 When God, in the beginning, created man, he made him subject to his own
free choice.
Romans 6:17 But thanks be to God that, although
you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient from the heart to the
pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted.
Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ set us free; so
stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.
John 8;31-32 Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him, "If
you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the
truth, and the truth will set you free."
Romans 8:21 that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and
share in the glorious freedom of the children of God.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the
Lord is, there is freedom.
Laying down the Scriptural references which detail that homosexuality
is abomination to God’s will may not be enough considering that not all people
are involved on religiosity just like during my old days, so not all could possibly
relate when I talk about holiness because not all are tolerant when it comes to
the content of the Bible, so let me go further according to lay man’s terms.
Based on studies, transgender persons are
prone to certain types of chronic diseases, cancers, and mental health
problems. Below is a list of the key health concerns transgender persons should
consider discussing with their doctor.

1. Health Accesssibility Avoidance of medical
care may be avoided by transgender out of fear of rejection because not all
health care providers have specialization on transgender issues. Transgender persons may not access the desired
care because transgender health services are not covered by insurance.
2. Hormones Hormone therapy which is often used to turn a transgender into more masculine
or feminine is unsafe. Testosterone especially when taken in
high doses or by mouth can damage the liver.
Estrogen can increase blood pressure, blood glucose (sugar), and blood
clotting. Anti-androgens like
spironolactone can lower blood pressure, disturb electrolytes, and dehydrate
the body. Hormone use should constantly
be doctor-supervised for appropriate dosage and monitoring.
3. Cancer Trans men are at risk to cancer
of uterus, ovaries, breasts. Though the risk is low, trans women are at risk
for prostate cancer. Counseling is still
needed although cancers connected to use of hormones are uncommon. Transgender
should be screened for cancers of the reproductive organs.
4. Injectible Silicon To enhance appearance, many
transgender use silicone which is dangerous practice if done by non-medical
persons that can cause serious health problems because it can move through the
body and disfigure it. Injectable which
is outside of a health care setting is basically not medical grade and may be
contaminated and is normally using shared needles which is risky to
transmission of hepathitis.

5. Substance Compared with others,
transgenders consumes higher rates of amphetamines including crystal meth,
marijuana, ecstacy, and cocaine which is risky to HIV transmission through
impaired decision-making during intimacy. Prolonged use of these substances has
serious negative effects.
6. Depression and Anxiety Higher rates of
depression and anxiety are of higher rates especially for transgenders who do
not have sufficient social support to whom they could express their gender
identity which cause an increased risk of suicide for the teenagers and young
adults.
7. Sexually Transmitted Diseases Transgenders who are into pre-marital sex are at risk for sexually transmitted
diseases.
8. Alcohol Alcohol abuse and dependence
is a common problem among transgenders which can increase the risk for being
injured or becoming a crime victim.
9. Tobacco Transgenders smoke at higher
rates which can lead to a more serious problems like high blood pressure, lung
cancer, lung and heart diseases.

10. Heart Diseases Because of higher risk for
heart disease brought by use of hormone, smoking and obesity, all transgenders
are generally recommended for an annual blood pressure check up and cholesterol
screened every five years.
If we’ll try to examine it
closely, just like straight guy or women who are into pre-marital sex,
pornography, extra marital affairs, anything that opposes natural sexual anatomy
or sexuality for that matter may have pleasurable effect especially when
aesthetic value that is desired is yet visible but what is short-term pleasure
when compared to these unbearable detriments.
