There are several marks on
how you could feel that you're with the Best Mom in the entire world:
1. She’s the person who is knowledgeable of your ridiculous funny habits and adores you for every single one.
2. She constantly has your back, especially when someone messes
with you.
3. She’s there beside when you’re sick, and you immediately feel
better when she’s around because of her super-mom abilities.
4. She’s there to safeguard you when you need her.
5. She supports you when it’s time for you to go out and explore
the world on your own.
6. She’s the only person you can go shopping with.
7. She cooks your favorite treats ever, simply because.
8. She’s there to push the boat out to your successes.
9. She’s there to reassure you on the days when you’re downcast.
11. She will constantly tell it like it is, even when the reality
is not what you desire to find out.
12. You know you can converse with her about enormously.
13. You have attempted to discover her cooking tricks but it never
tastes as superior as when she makes it.
14. You can call her at any time of the
day and she’ll fetch you up.
15. She coaches you all
about self-rule and pursuing your aspirations.
16.
You know her love is unrestricted.
17.
She’s your best buddy, biggest fan, and primarily your hero.
Thought to ponder this Mother’s day:
Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right.
"Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a
promise, "that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life
on earth." Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them
up with the training and instruction of the Lord.
Occasionally we’re caught by our impatience when we are nagged by
our mothers which often results to aloofness/coldness than love and affection,
which may lead to break this “hero concept” impression towards our
mother.
Come to think of it,
nagging is another expression of distorted, misguided love, which has nothing
to do with irrational fears, as God Himself gives His creations an equal
measurement of heart, mind and conscience that could weigh and realize
misgivings.
Taken from your
relationship with your moms, what are the values that you like most which
develop your closeness with her? If you’re not close with your moms,
could you cite any weak-points that you think are the primary causes of your
not being close to her? How do you cope with this encounter?
