Saint Ambrose, one of the early Church Fathers in the funeral discourse for his deceased brother Satyrus and said:
Death was not part of nature; it became part of nature. God did not decree death from the beginning; He prescribed it as a remedy. Human life, because of sin...began to experience the burden of wretchednes in unremitting labour and unbearable sorrow. There had to be a limit to its evils; death had to restore what life had forfeited. Without the assistance of grace, immortality is more of a burden than a blessing.” A little earlier, Saint Ambrose had said: Death is, then, no cause for morning, for it is the cause of mankind’s salvation.

Those
we love must someday pass beyond our present sight.......must leave us and the
world we know without their radiant light.
But we know that like a candle their lovely light will surely shine to
brighten up another place more perfect .......more divine. And in the realm of heaven where they shine
so warm and bright. Our loved ones live
forever more in God’s eternal light.
John 11:12-13 So
the disciples said to him, "Master, if he is asleep, he will be
saved." But Jesus was talking about his death, while they thought that he
meant ordinary sleep.
One of the most easiest-said- than -done things

As He Promised, Jesus Will Do:
John 14:14 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in
me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not,
would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may
be.Where (I) am going you know the way."
Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only
we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the
body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yet we are
courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord
himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the
trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise
first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together 4 with
them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Thus we shall always be with
the Lord. Therefore, console one another with these words.
1 Thessaloniasn 4:16-18 For God did
not destine us for wrath, but to gain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live together
with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, as indeed
you do.
Because of
Calvary, Everybody Lives
2 Samuel 12:23 But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go
to him, but he will not return to me."
John 11;23-26 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise." Martha said to him,
"I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day." Jesus
told her, "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me,
even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will
never die. Do you believe this?"
1 Corinthians 15-54-57 And when this which is corruptible clothes itself with incorruptibility and
this which is mortal clothes itself with immortality, then the word that is
written shall come about: "Death is swallowed up in victory. Where, O
death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death
is sin, 27 and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20-21 But our
citizenship 13 is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ. He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the
power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself.
In His
Time, Jesus Will Get Something Done
1 Corinthians 15:20-23 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have
fallen asleep. For since death came
through a human being, the resurrection of the dead came also through a human
being. For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to
life, but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming,
those who belong to Christ.
Philippians 1:23-24 I am caught between the two. I long to depart this life and be with Christ,
(for) that is far better. Yet that I remain (in) the flesh is more necessary
for your benefit.
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy gave us a
new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in
heaven for you who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith, to a
salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time.
1 John 3:1-2 See what love
the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. Yet so
we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed.
We do know that when it is revealed 2 we shall be like him, for we shall see
him as he is.
Revelation 21:1-4 Then I saw a
new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed
away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, 3
coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, God's
dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his
people 4 and God himself will always be with them (as their God). He will wipe
every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning,
wailing or pain, (for) the old order has passed away."

life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My
Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, 13 and no one can take
them out of the Father's hand.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor present things, 9 nor future things, nor powers, nor
height, nor depth, 10 nor any other creature will be able to separate us from
the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Lord from now on." "Yes," said the Spirit, "let them find
rest from their labors, for their works accompany them.
