She started drinking cheap wine at age 9. In 1975, while performing in New Jersey, he had a massive heart attack followed by cardiopulmonary arrest. He was in a coma for 3 months, surviving severe brain damage, and remained hospitalized for over 7 years until he passed away in1984 at age 49.

One of the most famous painters in the world, he was also a severe alcoholic. Unluckily, he was never able to triumph over his dependency on alcohol. His life ended at the early age of 44 when he crashed his car into a tree just one mile from his home.
