Carlo, this is the reality. There are two aspects in your problem. First, your problem is personal. Other fishermen like you are in Zambales and Pangasinan coast. The second is the international aspect.
We should address first your personal problem. It is significant here that you can preserve and survive your family, so automatic cash for work, (1) automomatic 4Ps, (1) automatic Philhealth for your life’s assurance, (2) as your daily source.
In addition, we will continue your aspiration for your children by ensuring their education. (3)
Not because you’re here at ABS-CBN it’s only your children who would benefit, but all the fishermen who are affected like you by this conflict. (4)
On international aspect, we should admit the fact that we’re incapable in our situation with China. They have more ships, more guns, plenty of aircrafts, with nuclear, etcetera. (2)
However, we should not give up what is ours. That is why we go to court, we appeal for help from international who will decide in favor of us. The entirety of influence and international aid are dependable. That is our status and that will be our action. We will address your need but we will not renounce…what is ours.

1). It’s good that the government could provide assistance like automomatic 4Ps, automatic Philhealth for life’s assurance and education of the children, as the affected fishermen’s daily source while at the height of unresolved dispute but when shall it be released, considering that this issue has been there since 2011 and we’re now 2016? How can it be availed and how many days will be the processing time? .
The assistance is generous but idealistic given the fact that it’s not clarified based on the above premises.
2). What is plan B if both arbitration and preparedness in skirmish are not possible?

It’s very much easy to say that we should engage in war against China. What if China is defeated and they all surrender? What we will feed them? (1)
Instead, all options should be open. We will course it through diplomacy. (1)
There are two types of diplomacy….state advocate and second….
This is incoherent with her previous statement that she would call the coast guard to bombard the trespassers. Thus, this is idealistic because of presenting opposing thoughts.

Yes. We have to establish the legitimacy of our claim. The document that affirms our triumph in the court should be in our hands. And then, we demand China to empty the place. It’s is ours, an exclusive economic zone. (1)
So if you don’t want to and if America refuses to help us, that will be a massacre. (1) I will not commit the lives of Filipino soldiers. (2) That’s why I will be the one to go there. Why waste time? (2)
I’ll be the one…if that is so, that’s alright.
Nevertheless, going there alone as a Commander-in-Chief without his forces is tantamount to a suicide, which is not interesting because we’re here as a country, as a team effort both in difficulties and triumphs so why go there helpless. Hence, this is unrealistic.

1). Are there any other alternative if the U.S. refuses to help? And if it meddles, how do the people be secured in the middle of this crisis?
2). Refusal of America to help the Philippines in this crisis would mean potential deaths, as he implies, which is true because this is a potential hostilities. (May God’s intervention may triumph over!)

You know the current situation here in China – it’s like in the school wherein Grade I are being bullied. We are those. Whereas our other allies in Asia are like Grade 2. While our other allies are in high school, who intend to help us, and stand for us.
We can ask for their assistance provided that we’re not surrendering our sovereignty or autonomy because we can’t also gamble the lives of our Navy. (1)
In addition, we need to be determined here in our territory.

This is the second time that the Philippines lost territory in the South China/West Philippine Sea. Marcos’ forces on Pugad Island in 1975 lost that territory when they attended their commander’s birthday party on the nearby Parola island, reportedly enticed by the prospect of Vietnamese prostitutes positioned there as promised by their Vietnamese friends. The following day as they returned, a Vietnamese full-armed garrison was already set up, with their cannons aimed at whoever approached the island.[2] So what’s the assurance that we will not lose it again, given the corruption practices in the country?

Becoming a president is likewise to become a Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. (1) We should be diplomatic (1) because every word of the president, by the Commander-in-chief, is acted upon by our soldiers and police.
Their lives are at stake here. This is not ping pong. Diplomacy is important to resolve this. (2) They are at a loss…our soldiers will die.

1). Being the Commander-in-Chief, again the time table is significant as projection to resolve the issue on stand-off because this has been in the scene since 2011.
It can be recalled that in September 2012 Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile had already a clash pertaining to the former’s movements as a backroom negotiator of the Philippines with China on the conflict over Scarborough Shoal[3] but obviously nothing happens favorably towards the end after that 16 times meeting with the Chinese because evidently it’s still brought up in this debate.
