Perhaps, it’s fabricated by Mayor Duterte because it’s true that Philhealth has been helping a lot in Davao City. Tomorrow at about 8 in the morning, I’ll give him the list of the Davaoeño…which Philhealth has assisted and the city of government. (1)

No implementation. And if there is one, it's all corruption.
I do not believe you. You have made so many promises in your term – almost zero......in providing for the people. All is yakking. All are announcements, all of them. (1)

COMMENTARY:

1). This could be credible if he cited a specific case to back up his claim. It is easy to say nothing but what is the reference?

Karen Davila (Moderator): Go ahead, Secretary.]

If I can present individual, name, hospital which were helped in Davao City, would you concede? (1)
| ||
COMMENTARY:
| ||
1). This is a childish thing. He can address the issue without asking anyone to concede if he could provide a proof. He should be issue-oriented. It’s like a children’s fight challenging an opponent to show if he’s really circumcised as a proof.

The problem here, if not entered and you don’t believe the actual facts whch you will disregard. These are the truths. So, we should stick on the truth.
We should not fool our countrymen that nothing happens. The truth is our basis in any governance. (1)
Truth...

Well, this is a nationwide problem. They deceived even Davao. The people of the Philippines are listening. Is this guy telling the truth? (1)
| ||
COMMENTARY:

1). This is foul. Evidently the people who come from different places as watchers of this debate don’t possess any record. It’s the government and Local Government Units and those who personally experienced it who have the personal knowledge but not the public watching the debate as a whole. Naturally, the supporters who are there would react to this provocation as the divided supporters are used to bashing.

No, here it is again. This is Mayor Duterte’s style – that’s why we should not – to our youth, we should not emulate this.
The important here, Mayor Duterte, there is something to say. If he is resisted or shown with facts, he would take steps backward, and will say different. This is my challenge, very simple. I said this, “I can show actual, video of the pople that Philhealth helped in Davao City. These are thousands. (1)
He said that he will concede. (1)

COMMENTARY:

1). As Mar Roxas said, everyone should stick on facts. And challenging his rival to concede when shown with proofs is not sticking on facts.

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte: You know, Ma’am, the entire Philippines is listening everyday. Secretary is outdated.
Now if you’re telling the truth and the Filipino believe on you and you should be the president, then why are you at the tail end on rating? (1)
Karen Davila (Moderator): Huh. Okay it’s like this. We have to move on at some point but because of that I will have to let Secretary Mar respond. But we need to go on with Senator Grace Poe after. But Secretary please...
Sec. Mar Roxas: Very simple.
Karen Davila (Moderator): Reply.
Sec. Mar Roxas: The one that our countrymen perceive, the attitude of Mayor Duterte, which is not fitting. So on May 9, the winner is the straight, the winner is the decent, the winner is the suitable, none other than Mar Roxas.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte: My goodness!

1). Another childish tirade. The issue that they were debating was about Philphealth but not about the survey rating. This is not about bragging but about addressing the issue poked by each one.
|
Karen Davila (Moderator): All right. Let's move on from this. Senator Grace Poe, you'll have five minutes later. If you want to discuss this on your own, you'll have the floor. Senator Grace, 30 seconds.
Sen. Grace Poe: Jun.
Karen Davila (Moderator): Mayor, Senator Grace Poe.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte: Ah, I though it’s me.
Karen Davila (Moderator): it’s her turn. You have time on the next segment. Senator Grace.

You know, Karen, the SIN tax that the government earns is about Php140 billion. In my visits, there are many local governments who complain that they’re ignored by the government. Basically, they are the ones who shoulder their hospitalization. (1)
Out of 1 Php140 billion, if we’ll give each provincial hospital with Php1 billion, they can rehabilitate, is it not Manong Jun? At least not – ceiling of the hospitals are almost falling, has no water, without even a bed sheet. These are the things…that I will do. As a woman, I will take care of our hospitals. (2)
|
Karen Davila (Moderator)
All right. We should go on the next issue first. Later on, explain how would you work on Php 1 billion for every province? Tony.
